Instant Messaging

Instant messaging is one of the favorite targets of hackers.  It is full of Trojans and viruses.  If you don’t know what it is, it is programs like ICQ, AIM, MSN Messenger and Yahoo Messenger.

These programs share files and can easily open up your hard drive to others.  Their authentication is weak and your packets can be easily sniffed.  Any available personal information can be lost to outsiders.  Many people willingly give out personal information and that makes it an even greater security risk.
