Nmap

Nmap is a powerful tool to fingerprint the tcp/ip network of a host computer.  It is used to figure out the operating system and host structure.  It is also used to bypass firewalls by operating in stealth mode and fragmenting packets.  It is available on Linux and Windows.  Windows users will need to download the program and Linux users will most likely have it included in their system.
