Software Firewalls
Software firewalls are like cotton candy for hackers. They are mostly a joke. Most any new hacker can break a software firewall. As a result, software firewalls are mostly a scam on the public.
They take enormous machine resources on the machine. You system will run way faster without Norton or McAfee. It is better to simply not have them.
The other factor is that any hacker knows how to get around these programs. So, the only thing you are protected from are new hackers with no experience. Do you feel secure now?
Out of the software firewalls, AVG has the best reputation. It is recommended by computer specialists because it looks at how the computer reacts rather than simply scanning for a list of viruses.
Why don’t the software firewalls work. Well, the main thing is that they scan for certain items. All a hacker has to do is change existing virus code a little and it’s a custom job. There will be no software firewall to stop it. These programs don’t protect unless the virus becomes a big thing on a wide scale. Small custom programs slip easily through software firewalls.
